ACU CEO promotes an entrepreneurial spirit across ACU’s campus through its CEO Chapel Speakers Series, alumni entrepreneur networking events, spring break service trips, and opportunities for leadership among their peers. Our CEO chapter has earned the Global Chapter of the year distinction for the fourth year in a row, and has more than 150 active members.
The Entrepreneur Speaker Series brings guest entrepreneurs to campus throughout the year, inviting them to share their business and life journeys in a talk-show style setting during CEO chapel, speaking in morning classes and visiting with CEO members during a catered lunch.
Startup Week is among the largest events of its kind in the nation and it coincides with the Global Entrepreneurship Week in hopes to bring awareness about entrepreneurship across the world. A celebration of all things entrepreneurship, we host over 100 events across ACU’s campus and in the Abilene community to give students opportunities to learn, network with alumni entrepreneurs, and participate in various activities that promote and engage in entrepreneurship.
For more than a decade, our Springboard program has awarded over half a million dollars to aspiring entrepreneurs both on campus and within our Abilene community. Through events like ACU Startup Week and programs like Springboard, the Griggs Center is committed to partnering with various organizations to promote, connect and equip the regional entrepreneurship community.
Students can learn about entrepreneurship from U.S hotspots such as Silicon Valley, Dallas and Austin as well as various countries around the world. Trips are offered in the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Most programs offer course credit opportunities. Check out our upcoming trips to Silicon Valley, Central America and Asia.

Businesses range from a cafe housed in our business building, to a software development company, a marketing research firm and a T-shirt design company.
