ACU CEO Wins 2017 Global Chapter of the Year
This past weekend was exciting for ACU CEO as student members attended the national conference for the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization in Tampa, Florida. For the third consecutive year, ACU CEO was victorious in bringing home the title of Global Chapter of the Year. ACU CEO was selected as the top chapter from approximately 250 schools and other finalists Bryant University and Texas A&M University.
Taylor Spencer (’18) and Jack Oduro (’18) represented the ACU CEO team and shared how it has worked this year to foster the development of an entrepreneurial spirit in our members and all of ACU’s campus. Check out the video below for a recap of the group’s accomplishments this year.
When asked about the future of CEO Spencer said, “ACU CEO focuses on making an impact on campus by creating opportunities for our students to be a part of entrepreneurship rather than merely witnessing it. Looking towards the future, we will continue working hard by maintaining focus on creating opportunity for our students rather than focusing our attentions solely towards winning national recognition.”
ACU CEO’s chapter business, Wildcat Ventures, did not disappoint either, placing 2nd in the category of Best Revenue Generating Initiative for 2017. Wildcat Ventures made it to the finals alongside Canisius College and Syracuse University, where they were able to speak about the growth of their 8 on-campus operations.
Oduro described winning the best global chapter of the year at CEO national conference in Tampa as “An incredible feeling…winning it three times in a row is a real testament to the growth and continued innovation of ACU CEO and its chapter business wildcat Ventures.”
